Parent Mentoring Program

CARES Advocates for Families Inc. has started a Binghamton chapter of the organization Dads on Duty. Dads on Duty started with a group of fathers in coming together to take shifts at a Louisianna High School amidst high rates of student conflict. The mission of Dads on Duty is to create a more positive environment within the school, to dissuade fighting, and to encourage learning. Since the group formed, no incidents have been reported. Schools across the country have begun their own chapters with great results. Now, it is our turn!

If you or someone you know are interested in becoming a Dad on Duty, please click the link to fill out an interest form! The application window will close soon, so don't wait!

"We're dads. We decided the best people who can take care of our kids are who? Are us".

-Michael LaFitte, founder of Dads on Duty
